Zamzar is a free conversion online utility that can be used to convert just about any file format to just about any other compatible format. It took less than 5 minutes total to download an article from World Book and convert it to an mp3 using Zamzar.
Using Zamzar
First, launch Zamzar by going to its url on the internet.
Step1: browse to the file on your computer that you want to convert. In this example I browsed to an article on the fur trade that I had downloaded as a .pdf from the Student Edition of World Book.
The file to convert appears below Step 1 on the Zamzar webpage.
Step 2: choose the format you want to convert to from the drop down menu. In this case I want to create an mp3.
Step 3: enter your email address.
Step 4: click convert and then OK
Zamzar advises you that the upload is complete and they will email you a url from which you can download the converted document. It took less than a minute to receive the email for the fur trade document.
The email gives you a url that expires after 24 hours. Go to the url and download the converted file.
This is your Sidebar, which you can edit like any other page in your workspace.
This Sidebar appears everywhere on your workspace. Add to it whatever you like -- a navigation section, a link to your favorite web sites, or anything else.
